PureBed UV Pro is built to be low-maintenance, but a couple of small habits keep the suction strong and the UV-C lamp performing for years. Here's the full routine.
After every use: empty the chamber
Twist open the transparent dust chamber over a bin and tip out what you collected. Because the chamber is see-through, you'll always know when it needs emptying — don't let it fill past the max line, as that weakens suction.
Weekly: tap and rinse the filter
Remove the HEPA filter and gently tap it against the inside of a bin to release trapped dust. A clean filter is what keeps suction at full strength — a clogged one is the number-one reason handheld vacuums lose power.
Monthly: rinse the filter and chamber
Once a month, rinse the dust chamber and HEPA filter under cool water. Let both parts air-dry completely (24 hours) before putting them back — installing a damp filter can damage the motor and encourage mold.
Never submerge the main body
The handheld unit and charging base contain the motor, battery and UV-C electronics. Never rinse or submerge them — wipe them down with a dry or barely-damp cloth only.
Charging and storage
A full charge takes about three hours and gives up to 30 minutes of runtime. Store the device on its charging base in a dry spot, out of direct sunlight. If you won't use it for a few weeks, top the battery up to around half charge first — it's better for long-term battery health than storing it fully empty or fully full.
A quick word on the UV-C lamp
The lamp is sealed and maintenance-free. It only activates when the head is pressed flush against a fabric surface, so there's no exposure during normal use and nothing to replace under everyday conditions.
